025: get back up.
I know this post is coming far too late, and on the heels of many other, better-worded apologies, but if anything I said or did in my affected state offended or hurt you, then you have my deepest and most sincere apologies.
In my state of inebriation prior to the attack, I mentioned something about going to the Galapagos Islands. Until further notice, this is false. The Modern Mariner recently lost his albatross, Samuel. If any of you or your families are acquainted with the Mariner, I encourage you to send your sympathy.
For that matter, my condolences for any losses or injuries suffered over the course of this past weekend.
However, instead of dwelling on whatever else might have gone wrong, I would instead like to direct attention and gratitude towards some things that went right:
Fortress Science, regardless of how it ended, wouldn't have been possible in the first place without any of the gadgeteering and adventuring types living in the Science dormitories -- it was their innovation and preparedness, as well as the resourcefulness of those who wound up in Science, that kept the situation in the dorm so safe for so long. Thank you. Specifically, thank you from myself to both Ira and Charlie, for allowing me access to your projects.
Dr. Roux and Thanks for the cure, as often as they have been voiced before, ought to go without saying.
